Redline Analysis

Get intelligent analysis of document changes:

  • Attach two versions of a document to compare (first = original, second = modified)
  • Or send a single Word document with tracked changes
  • Junior generates a comprehensive analysis of all changes
  • Includes commentary on significance and potential implications
  • Note: PDF redlines are not currently supported

How Redline Analysis Works

Redline Analysis provides an intelligent review of document changes:

  1. Document Processing: Junior processes your documents in one of two ways:
    • Two separate documents (original and revised versions)
    • One document with tracked changes
  2. Change Detection: Junior identifies all modifications between versions
  3. Significance Evaluation: Each change is analyzed for its legal and business significance
  4. Risk Assessment: Changes are scored based on potential risk or impact
  5. Contextual Analysis: Junior considers the document type and context when evaluating changes

Analysis Components

Junior provides a comprehensive change analysis with:

  1. Change Summary: Concise description of each modification
  2. Legal Implications: Analysis of potential legal impact of each change
  3. Risk Scoring: Changes are rated on significance (1-5 scale):
    • High scores (4-5): Changes with significant legal or business impact
    • Medium scores (2-3): Changes with moderate impact
    • Low scores (1): Minor or cosmetic changes
  4. Citations: Direct references to the specific changed paragraphs

Output Format

Junior delivers results in multiple formats:

  1. Detailed Word Document: Contains a table with:
    • Change summaries
    • Legal implications
    • Risk scores
    • Citations to specific paragraphs
  2. PDF Version: Same content as the Word document for easier sharing
  3. Executive Summary: Overview of the most significant changes
  4. Original Document with Bookmarks: Original document with bookmarks to significant changes

Best Practices

  • For comparing two separate documents, always put the original version first in your email attachments
  • For tracked changes, ensure the tracking feature is enabled in your Word document
  • Provide context in your email about the document type or specific concerns
  • For large documents, be patient as analysis may take longer
