Summary

Keeping a session's stable stream in a parent workflow pins turn execution to long-lived orchestration code. A small holding workflow now retains streams and continuation aliases, while independent terminating workflows claim the active-turn inbox and restore snapshots from immutable references. Steering, queueing, interruption, Promise-based workflow questions, background tasks, and callbacks share owner admission and event lifecycle paths. Superseded orchestration, versioned hook transports, duplicate helpers, and obsolete tests are removed; existing-session migration is deferred.

Validation

pnpm typecheck — all 43 workspace tasks passed, including package and fixture builds.
pnpm test:unit — passed; eve has 7,759 passing tests and one skipped test.
Focused integration suites — all 11 tests passed, covering native hook contention, Run accessors, ordered delivery, correlated questions, reports, failures, and proxied input lifecycles.
Native workflow bundle scenario — passed with the SDK's Run serialization and hook ownership implementation.
Admission regressions exercise the real inbox reader with readiness behind buffered traffic, initiating-turn completion or failure, and failed delivery. Admitted background tasks remain independent.
pnpm fmt, pnpm lint, pnpm guard:invariants, and pnpm docs:check — passed. Lint retains two existing warnings outside this change.

Full session execution still requires the pending SDK Run#getWritable() API. Its adapter deliberately throws an explicit unsupported-SDK error; cross-workflow storage is not emulated. Fixture CI currently fails during session creation, so it has not validated the new session lifecycle. The original initialization error is hidden in those logs; complete end-to-end validation awaits the SDK upgrade. Fixture lifecycle coverage is included for that validation.
