Summary

Adds doc/plan/README.md, the roadmap for the Trust Graph monorepo: the Rust core, the trust CLI, the WebAssembly and Node packages built on the core, and every future Trust Graph project.

Start with the TL;DR at the top. It covers:

  • What's shipped:
    • #11: the CLI and protocol library
    • #15: the monorepo layout, a pure core with CLI, WebAssembly and Node wrappers, optional randomness, and CI
  • Next phases:
    • 0: Finish the monorepo. Bring in the protocol docs and the JSON-LD schema, archive the old repos, and rename this repo to trustgraph/trustgraph.
    • 1: Lock the v1 data format, and add Reputon export.
    • 2: Release and publish: npm, crates, cargo-dist, and a real Convex spike.
    • 3: Share over HTTPS, with IPFS as the next transport.
    • 4: UX, including lens value filters and an --explain view.
    • 5: Harden.
  • Decisions for you:
    • value range
    • JSON-LD context domain
    • package names
    • public or private npm
    • the existing trustgraph/trustgraph repo

The rest of the doc covers:

  • design principles
  • a status table
  • each phase, with acceptance criteria
  • an open-decisions table
  • the 2022 TODO list, mapped to what's done

It also picks up three ideas from the early drafts #9 and #10.

Docs only. master is merged in, so the links to doc/architecture.md resolve. Merging this also makes the README's roadmap link work.

Test plan

  • Docs only; I checked links and anchors by hand

History: this started as the first roadmap for the Rust CLI. It was revised as #11 and #15 shipped. At your request I removed Trustcraft and Holochain, and the roadmap now reflects everything merged so far.

New doc/plan/README.md with a TL;DR, design principles, target workspace
architecture, phased roadmap with acceptance criteria, open decisions,
and a mapping of the 2022 TODO list onto the phases.

Mark what PR #11 delivered (atoms, did:key, VC 2.0 eddsa-jcs-2022,
Holochain tags, store, Agent Lens) and lay out the next phases:
v1 format lock, HTTPS sharing, Holochain conductor adapter, release,
UX, WASM, and hardening. TL;DR and open decisions stay at the top.

The project is Trust Graph; Trustcraft is not a thing. Drop the naming
decision and the trustcraft.net note, point the WASM consumer at
trustgraph.net, renumber the open decisions, and link PR #11.

Reflect PR #15 (pure trustgraph-core with CLI, WebAssembly and Node
wrappers): add it to what has shipped, make 'one pure core, thin
wrappers' the first principle, fold 'Embed everywhere' into a new
'Release and publish' phase (npm per-platform packages, wasm package,
Convex spike), and add the package-name and public/private npm decisions.

Add Phase 0: bring the protocol README, JSON-LD schema and Holochain
zome in with history, archive the old repos, and rename this repo to
trustgraph/trustgraph (after moving the existing repo of that name
aside). Add 'one repo, Rust first' as the first design principle and
the rename as an open decision.

Drop the Holochain phase, the zome move from Phase 0, and Holochain
mentions in the context, status table, principles and decisions.
Renumber the phases (UX is now 4, Harden 5).

…drafts

Update the TL;DR, shipped table and Phase 0 for PR #15 (merged): monorepo
layout, optional randomness, CI. Carry forward three ideas from the
2022-23 drafts #9 and #10: Reputon export (Phase 1), IPFS publishing
(Phase 3), and lens value filters plus a per-hop falloff view (Phase 4).
