• Windows Server 2016 needs 1 GB RAM for installation and 256 MB RAM for running
• Microsoft says, that it needs 32 GB disk space for installing the system
• set the type to "Windows 2012 - 64 Bit" - "other Windows 64 Bit" will not work
• enable the network bridge
• Windows Server 2016 and MS SQL Server 2014 need together merely 11 GB

Installation of Windows Server

• Windows Server Standard -> headless ( without GUI )
• Adminsitrator / win@2017 / C:\Users\Adminsitrator

Install the Virtualbox Guest Additions

Insert the medium and run the approbriate installer

set the network name

• ip address is 192.168.1.83

netdom renamecomputer %COMPUTERNAME% /Newname "MSSQLSERVER"

shutdown the computer

shutdown /s
