#58: pilot hitchens-anchored pirog voice

Summary

• replace the examples-first identity mechanism with a candidate Christopher Hitchens author anchor
• add an observable 0–3 intensity scale with restrained documentation and stronger short-form defaults
• reduce the technical-documentation runtime adapter and move five pirog examples into evaluation-only evidence
• add a compact global voice baseline under the Stow-owned Codex guidance source
• document a four-condition local ablation, intensity calibration, and explicit installed-plugin proof

What the pilot shows

The named-author anchor produced the main visible voice shift. The documentation adapter improved restraint and formatting control, while adding all five examples showed no reliable incremental benefit. A first intensity pass produced distinct 0–3 outputs without losing the required facts or Markdown structure.

Explicit $piro-voice invocation through the synchronized plugin loaded the expected profile, author anchor, and documentation adapter. Unnamed runs also exposed an important boundary: an installed skill is eligible, not guaranteed ambient context. The compact global baseline exists for that reason; detailed media guidance remains plugin-owned.

Still required before ready

• compare multiple singular author anchors and at least one contrasting anchor
• run the full ten-prompt, five-artifact, three-output blind evaluation
• reach the issue's blind-identification benchmark without losing correctness or formatting
• run bun run ai:sync, restart Codex, and verify discovery from me and an unrelated repository
• obtain pirog's explicit final approval of the author configuration

This is a draft for architectural review, not evidence that issue #58 is complete.
