Summary

  • Adds a new enhancement proposing a ControlPlaneUpgradeable status condition on HostedControlPlane and HostedCluster
  • Separates control-plane and data-plane upgrade readiness signals so that data-plane operators and user-installed OLM operators can no longer block control plane y-stream upgrades
  • The HCCO aggregates Upgradeable from a known set of CP-side ClusterOperators; isUpgrading prefers this over ClusterVersionUpgradeable when available
  • Gated behind ControlPlaneUpgradeableCondition feature gate (DevPreview → TechPreview → GA)

HPSTRAT-202

Test plan

  • markdownlint passes cleanly
  • All required enhancement template headings present
  • YAML frontmatter validates
