Summary

Add a CLI for running the evaluation pipeline locally.

Changes

  • Added an evals CLI under app with commands for:
    • Syncing the evaluation dataset from its GitHub repo
    • Running evaluations
  • Added configurable CLI options for:
    • Model
    • Extractor
    • Prompt
    • Number of samples
    • Using Langfuse
  • Added proportional sampling by category when running evaluations on a subset of the dataset.
  • Added validation for the requested sample size.
  • Made Langfuse integration optional when running evaluations locally.
  • Moved the evaluation code under app/evals and added the CLI under app/cli.
  • Added README documentation with instructions for running evaluations through the CLI.
  • Added tests for the new CLI functionality.

Example

uv run orcha evals sync_dataset
uv run orcha evals run --model "litellm/gpt-oss-20b" --langfuse --samples 10 --extractor pymupdf
