hREA is a resource coordination framework on Holochain for operational management and accounting in economic networks, communities and single organisations. It implements the ValueFlows vocabulary, so applications built on it can interoperate with other ValueFlows systems rather than locking their data into one product.
This wiki is the "why and who" layer. It carries the project's context, its history, the reading that shaped it, and who is building on it. It deliberately does not document the API or how to install anything, because that documentation lives with the code and goes stale here.
-
To build on hREA: docs.hrea.io for the GraphQL API, and the repository's
docs/for everything else. -
To compose hREA into your own hApp:
docs/consuming-a-release.md. - The code: github.com/h-REA/hREA.
-
Releases: the releases page, the ones prefixed
happ-. - The ValueFlows vocabulary itself: valueflo.ws.
The current release is happ-0.5.0-beta.1 (10 September 2026). It runs on Holochain 0.7 and is the first release to enforce the ValueFlows rules in the integrity zome rather than declare them. Details, artifacts and upgrade notes are in its release notes, and the shape of the project is in Project status and roadmap.
