genkio/homebrew-tap

Personal Homebrew tap.

Formulae

herdlet

Tiny coordination bus for coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) running in tmux panes. tmux stays the multiplexer; herdlet adds semantic agent state (working / blocked / done), push-based wait/subscribe instead of capture-pane polling, a registry so agents address each other by name, and a live monitor TUI for a tmux popup. Single file, stdlib-only Python.

brew install genkio/tap/herdlet
herdlet list # who is doing what
herdlet wait --id builder --state done, blocked # block until an agent finishes
herdlet send --id builder "run the tests again" # type into its pane
herdlet monitor # live who-is-stuck view

State updates automatically via Claude Code / Codex hooks (herdlet hook); agents learn to coordinate via the bundled skill (npx skills add genkio/herdlet).

vidgrep

Natural-language scene search and clipping for local video files, fully local (CLIP embeddings + shot detection, no cloud). Point it at a video or folder, describe the scene, get timestamps or ready-cut clips.

brew install genkio/tap/vidgrep
vidgrep oneshot ~/Videos "a dog jumping into a lake" -k 5 # index + cut clips
vidgrep search "two people kissing in a coffee shop" # print timestamps

First run downloads CLIP weights (~1.7 GB) to ~/.cache; indexing is one-time and resumable, search is instant afterwards.

cc-autoresume

Watches running Claude Code sessions in tmux and auto-resumes them after a usage-limit reset, so a You've hit your session limit stop no longer leaves a session idle until you nudge it by hand.

brew install genkio/tap/cc-autoresume
cc-autoresume --list # show live claude panes + status
cc-autoresume # run the daemon in the foreground
brew services start genkio/tap/cc-autoresume # or run it in the background

It discovers sessions across every window and pane of the running tmux server (not just the current one), so a tmux server must be running.

cc-imessage

A two-way bridge between Claude Code tmux sessions and iMessage. Each session texts you a Haiku-summarized notification when it finishes; reply from your phone and it lands back in the right tmux pane, so you can drive sessions hands-free from anywhere (text and photos, routed by reply-thread).

brew install genkio/tap/cc-imessage
brew services start genkio/tap/cc-imessage # the daemon (phone replies -> tmux)
cc-imessage status # outbound on/off + daemon state

Needs a running tmux server, separate iMessage accounts on the Mac and phone, Full Disk Access + Automation granted to the binary, and PHONE set in ~/.cc-imessage/config; add a Claude Code Stop hook (cc-imessage notify) for outbound. Full setup in the repo README. arm64 only for now.

scrcpy-gui

A maintained fork of Tomotoes/scrcpy-gui (GUI for scrcpy), rebuilt on Electron 43 + Vue 3 so it runs on current macOS and speaks current scrcpy.

brew install genkio/tap/scrcpy-gui
brew install --cask android-platform-tools # adb
scrcpy-gui # mirror and control an Android device

Pick a device and Open in app to mirror it inside the app itself, in a phone-shaped frame with a sidebar for battery, screen-off mirroring, clipboard and the navigation keys; the video is decoded with WebCodecs rather than handed to scrcpy's own window. Open the selected mirror still launches the real scrcpy window with the recording and crop options.

The app lives in the Cellar and is launched by the scrcpy-gui command, so nothing is installed into /Applications. scrcpy comes in as a formula dependency; adb is a cask, hence the extra line. Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 11+.

carbonyl

A fork of fathyb/carbonyl (Chromium in the terminal) packaged as a single self-contained binary.

brew install genkio/tap/carbonyl
carbonyl https://github.com

First launch extracts the embedded runtime (~165 MB) to $XDG_CACHE_HOME/carbonyl/<hash>/; subsequent launches are fast.

tui

One launcher for five cookie-stealth terminal readers (x, inoreader, slack, folo, reddit), shipped as a single binary.

brew install genkio/tap/tui
tui # pick an app
tui x --auth # log in via your browser, once per app

Auth opens a Chromium-family browser (Brave, Chrome, Chromium, Edge, ...) to capture your session; credentials and settings live in ~/.config/tui/env. The formula pulls in carbonyl for the in-terminal article view (the o key).
