Fifth scheduled literature-surveillance sweep, per docs/superpowers/specs/2026-07-25-literature-surveillance-protocol.md. Window: submissions 2026-08-24 through 2026-08-31. These are reading debts (UNREAD), not conclusions — see the protocol for why.

  • fence, Q6 (possibly Q1, Q5) — arXiv 2608.24152 ("A Dynamic-Kernel/QPacket Executable for Quantum Repeater Chains in Q2NS/ns-3"): would change — a named "Dynamic Kernel" with Planner-Executor-Engine pipeline managing entanglement as a stateful resource could be the closest occupant of the fence's full form seen yet, pending whether it adjudicates admission among competing requests over a held/decaying resource or is only the scoped linear-chain demo the abstract describes; its reported signaling-load/controller-traffic measurements could also give Q6 a first real number for that constrained-resource class.
  • fence — arXiv 2608.22766 ("Spatio-temporal Path Optimization for Stabilizer-Code-Protected Quantum Networks"): would change — joint path/recovery-location/protection-scheme optimization under logical-lifetime (perishability) constraints with multi-flow congestion (contention) reduction could occupy more of the fence's full form than anything read so far, pending whether the full paper's multi-flow algorithm is genuine admission control over a shared decaying resource or a single-flow routing optimization as abstracted.

Non-hits checked and rejected (documented in the queue file's sweep note): arXiv 2608.23681 (single-shot QND readout, no repeated-readout wear data), arXiv 2608.24299 (entanglement-as-resource-theory vocabulary trap), arXiv 2608.26886 (network-formation game theory, no perishability/custody/admission content), arXiv 2608.27171 (information-theoretic contraction coefficients, no scheduling content).

Only docs/surveillance/reading-queue.md is touched — no other file modified, per the protocol's output contract.

Fifth scheduled sweep (window 2026-08-24 through 2026-08-31) found two
UNREAD candidates bearing on the fence question: arXiv 2608.24152
(Dynamic-Kernel/QPacket repeater-chain executable) and arXiv 2608.22766
(spatio-temporal path optimization for stabilizer-protected networks).
Both are queued as debts per the literature surveillance protocol, not
conclusions.
