Nimble now lives in the Velox repository under `velox/dwio/nimble`. This repository last took a commit on 2026-08-07, and the 20 pull requests still open against it will not be merged. Add a notice to the top of the README and CONTRIBUTING pointing contributors at facebookincubator/velox for both pull requests and issues. The rest of both files is left in place for reference.

export-D*internal branches, but a few are genuine outside contributions (fix: Add missing typename for dependent type in SharedDictionaryEncodingTest #1085, feat: Add size-based (exponent, factor) selection for ALP encoding #1084, perf(nimble): SubIntSplit and Future Reordering microbenchmark drivers #1086) whose authors deserve a note before anything is closed.
