However, this post is already getting quite old, not sure it still relevant to be published.

We don't have extensive documentation on this feature (certainly not how it's implemented), and I think this could be of value to the broader community.

I'm not aware of others trying to get the exact same tarballs created across Linux & macOS.

That said, I felt the original version of this blog post was a bit too clearly LLM-assisted, and I felt we could do better. I was hoping to find time to work on improving it myself, but never found the time for it... :(

I wouldn't give up on this yet though.
