Summary

Bump version to 3.0.0 and add the 3.0.0 section to CHANGELOG.md. Supersedes #555, now that the native kernel backend is on 1.4.0.

Notable changes since 2.4.0

  • Upgrade the native kernel backend to 1.4.0.
  • Breaking: require Node.js versions containing the CVE-2026-111497 Brotli decoder fix: 22.23.4+, 24.22.1+, or 26.12.1+. Node.js 20, 23, and 25 are no longer supported.
  • Return empty results with the standard schema from Thrift getPrimaryKeys() when a catalog, schema, or table is missing, instead of throwing. (Return empty primary-key metadata for missing objects in Thrift #553)
  • Update locked follow-redirects and serialize-javascript versions to remediate security findings.

Test plan

  • npm install --package-lock-only updates only version fields in lockfile
  • npm ci and npm run build clean (Node.js 24.22.1); built dist/version.js reports 3.0.0
  • Multi-DBR tests in universe/peco/correctness/node against the frozen main package (1eb9438) on DBR 18.3 Photon — running
  • CI green
