:::warning Protect Your Cryptocurrency Recovery Phrase at All Costs
Your recovery phrase (also known as a seed phrase) is the master key to your cryptocurrency wallet. Anyone with access to this phrase can take complete control of your funds. Never share it with anyone, never store it in unsecured digital platforms or emails, and always ensure you have a safe offline backup. Treat it like your most sensitive personal or financial information. *If it’s exposed or lost, you could permanently lose access to your cryptocurrency*.
:::

5. You can either Verify the recovery phrase or Skip Verification and it will take you to the dashboard.

![step-5](/img/doc-imgs/talisman/Talisman-11.png)

6. To get a public wallet address, you need to click `Receive`.

7. You can search for autonomys when selecting a network.

![step-7](/img/doc-imgs/talisman/Talisman-12.png)

8. Clicking on the QR code icon and you will get a QR code and can click `Copy Address` to copy the address to your clipboard.
5. Your 12-word seed phrase will be displayed on the screen. Write down your words in their exact chronological order. Once backed up safely offline, click the mandatory checkbox that reads **"I have backed up my recovery phrase, don't remind me anymore"**. You can then click **"Verify recovery phrase"** to confirm your words, or click **"Skip Verification"** at the very bottom to return to the dashboard.
