Upgrading node-gyp from 8.4.1 to 11.0.0 introduces a critical compatibility issue. node-gyp 11.x requires Node.js version 16.14.0 or higher, but the project's CI workflow (.github/workflows/node.js.yml lines 18) currently tests against Node.js versions 10.x, 12.x, and 14.x, all of which are below the minimum requirement.
This upgrade will cause build failures in the CI pipeline. Before merging this PR, the Node.js versions in the CI workflow must be updated to at least 16.x. Additionally, you should verify that all other dependencies are compatible with Node.js 16+.
