through the tool under test — the compiler, the Vapor renderer, the linter, the test utils — against
an oracle that says what should happen: the VDOM renderer for Vapor, plain createApp for
test-utils. Disagreements are clustered by root cause, and each cluster becomes a failing test
before it becomes a patch.
