On the latest release testing out the new voice feature, both clicking on the voice button, or manually in settings (which prompts to install the "@swttch/extend-kit") are failing to install (despite it indicated install succeeded). as a result I cannot use voice
The problem is fixed and released in v0.27.1. You can see the change in PR #303 (commit 45606aa).
This was the hardest kind of problem to notice: the install reported success, but nothing actually worked. Thanks to your report, I found and fixed a few more problems growing from the same root. There is also a new button in the settings to remove the voice input kit.
A small favor
When you have time, please update the plugin.
Then please check if it installs well for you now.
If it is fixed, a quick reply here would be great.
If any problem is still there, please let me know in a comment.
I will reopen this issue and raise the priority to fix it quickly.
Hi,
I'm still experiencing the same issue, even after updating to the latest version.
When I click Install, nothing happens. I also tried installing it through the terminal using:
sudo /usr/local/bin/npm install -g --prefix /usr/local @swttch/extend-kit
The installation completed successfully:
added 2 packages in 855ms
However, the extension still doesn't work and I don't see any changes after the installation.
I previously used a somewhat optimistic approach to confirm the installation completion.
I've improved this so that it now only reports as complete after a more thorough verification.

Just an update: I reran the command twice, and it worked the second time :)
sudo /usr/local/bin/npm install -g --prefix /usr/local @swttch/extend-kit

@KacemHamza97 How about now? Still doesn't work after second time installation?
