Can't add more template options for a node type category_child

Module version 2.29.0

Create fine inside this folder:

app/design/frontend/Vendor/Example/Snowdog_Menu/templates/hyva-topmenu-mobile/menu/custom/category_child/example.phtml

Expected result:

I should see the new template inside the drop down select from backend and should be able to use it

Actual result:

No template is shown.

Additional notes:

Tested with menu/custom/category/example.phtml and works as intended, seems only category_child node type isn't working properly.

I think category_child node is really useful when the customer want a custom menu, but some items should mirror Magento category tree, this is really useful in multi language scenario

Customer has 10+ languages and changes categories very often, and obviously the customer wants the categories updated on menu.
He doesn't want to update the categories and then manually edit all of the 10+ menus.
I don't see any obvious way to do this, the only way seems to use category_child node, or am i missing something?
