A compact, installable terminal harness that normalizes requests and responses across OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Groq.

Quick start

On first login, har1 asks for an email once and stores it under the har1 config directory. API keys are stored using the operating system credential manager through keyring; they are never written to the project or printed.

Supported environment variables:

• HAR1_PROVIDER: openai, anthropic, or groq.
• HAR1_API_KEY: provider key. Provider-specific variables are also accepted: OPENAI_API_KEY, ANTHROPIC_API_KEY, GROQ_API_KEY.
• HAR1_MODEL: model name. Defaults are provider-aware.
• HAR1_BASE_URL: optional endpoint override.
• HAR1_TIMEOUT: request timeout in seconds.
• HAR1_HOME: optional override for the profile directory.

When no provider is supplied, login first shows OpenAI, Anthropic, and Groq, then asks for the matching API key. In interactive mode, /model loads the current authenticated catalog from the selected provider and shows numbered models with context windows; choose a number or exact model ID. Commands include /provider groq, /model, /path FILE, /skill FILE, /context 32, /effort high, /redo, /clear, /logout, and /quit. Ctrl+C cancels the current line, Ctrl+D exits, and Esc replays the last prompt. Shell piping, scripting, and clear exit codes remain first-class.

To remove the local profile and all stored keys:

har1 --logout

For a private deployment, upload the generated wheel to your package registry and install it with python -m pip install har1 from that registry.
