This repo miss a description.
Further more, while the modules got Readmes, it doesn't explain their purpose, thus it is a bit difficult for non-specialist to understand if it is the one that we need.
Please add, at least, a very basic description with a link to Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_data_interchange because this page suggest a lot of related links and shortly explain the difference with EDI-Framework repo.
Please enable the wiki so functional users can slowly start to describe EDI and EDI modules.
There hasn't been any activity on this issue in the past 6 months, so it has been marked as stale and it will be closed automatically if no further activity occurs in the next 30 days.
If you want this issue to never become stale, please ask a PSC member to apply the "no stale" label.
I can't propose a description because I don't fully understand EDI purpose.
Sorry to ping quite everyone, but without adressing this issue I can't help on docs and Readmes @alexis-via@etobella@njeudy@bealdav
Hi, I have practical experience with EDI and would like to contribute. I will add a repository description and expand the README with a clear explanation of EDI purpose, module structure, supported standards and how this repository differs from the EDI framework.
I will also include links for further reading incl. (including EU-UN/EDIFACT, US-ASC X12 and UBL,) and mention the wiki as a possible extension for functional documentation. I’ll open a PR shortly.
