I'm a software engineer and architect based in BogotΓ‘, Colombia. Over the last six years I've been building backend services, modern web applications, and cloud/self-hosted infrastructure β turning complex ideas into fast, maintainable software.
I have a strong bias for Go, modular monoliths, clean domain boundaries, and self-hostable infrastructure. Right now I'm also pursuing a Master's in Cybersecurity, pairing Go and Python for security-minded systems and tooling. Outside of that, I enjoy tinkering with Godot, Linux, and container orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, and Dokploy.
SendDock Β· senddock.dev
My main focus right now. SendDock is an open-core, self-hostable, API-first email platform (a developer-friendly alternative to Mailchimp and Resend with a BYO-SMTP model, also available as an official Dokploy template). I designed and built it end-to-end as a modular monolith in Go, Vue 3, PostgreSQL, and Redis β featuring multi-workspace isolation, encrypted SMTP credentials, Redis-backed broadcast queues and rate limiting, HMAC-signed open/click tracking, RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe, IMAP/webhook bounce handling, and a visual template editor.
Lab & experiments:
- AerionOS (live demo) β An in-browser OS simulator built from scratch in pure Vanilla JavaScript, with its own window manager and virtual file system, built to push native DOM APIs without frameworks.
- Exploring security tooling with Go & Python, and indie game mechanics in Godot Engine.
Backend, Security & Web
Data, Cloud & Self-Hosting
Game Dev & Creative Coding
- 6+ years building production software β from high-throughput backend APIs and complex relational databases to modernizing critical web interfaces (cutting load times by ~32%) and automating container pipelines.
- Security by design β currently completing a Master's in Cybersecurity, bringing threat modeling, least-privilege design, and safe defaults into the systems I build.
- How I approach engineering β keep the domain at the center, define module boundaries before piling on features, keep decisions reversible, and rely on integration tests that verify real behavior instead of mocks.
