QR code prompt not appearing, can't sign in

I can't seem to get this to work. I've installed the plugin and confirmed it is loaded (the welcome message shows up), signed in to PSN, but when attempting to log in to steam, it just hangs on the "signing in" loading spinner like in vanilla and never gives me any way to actually sign in.

I'm using the US disc version of Portal 2 on the latest patch with the MotionPack full version installed.

Worth noting that the steam overlay also still only shows the single "connect to the Steam network" button instead of the separate login/sign up buttons that used to appear when it was originally supported. Not sure if that's correct for this plugin or not.

I just tested on the USA disc version of Portal 2 - the latest version, 1.04 - and I'm getting the QR code prompt as expected. Are you using the latest version of Portal 2? The flow is supposed to look something like this;

Technically yes... however it's very difficult to get to the logs - you need to boot the PS3 into DEX mode (Evilnat CFW lets you do this) and then use ProDG Target Manager from the SDK. It's not ideal, since there's risk involved and Evilnat's CEX2DEX feature "breaks" your IDPS while in DEX mode which needs to be corrected every boot to connect to PSN.

Two diagnostic steps:

• What happens if you go to Play Co-operative Game -> Play Online in the Portal 2 menu? It should prompt you to log in there, too.
• Can you go to https://api.steampowered.com/ISteamDirectory/GetCMList/v1?cellid=0 and give me the first IP address in the list? (This is an IP of a Steam server - roughly based on country and region, but not precise at all.)

• I tried online co-op, it causes "Connecting to Steam" to display for a while before eventually failing
• The first entry on that page for me is 162.254.195.66:27017

After trying lots of different things I eventually realized what I did wrong. I was disabling CFW syscalls and signing into PSN before starting the game instead of after. I guess it makes sense that condenstation would require those to inject itself into the steam code, there should probably be a message telling you if you do it wrong though. (Unless that's not detectable, in which case the readme should just make it more explicitly clear that the reverse order doesn't work.)

OH! I didn't think those would be an issue but that makes total sense, and I wasn't running into those issues when testing since I was running in DEX mode where it uses a different set of syscalls. I could've sworn the memory poke syscalls work with syscalls disabled but it makes a lot of sense why it wouldn't.

I'm trying to replicate this properly but I can't. What Evilnat CFW and webMAN version are you using? My box is still on 4.91 / webMAN 1.47.46 and this change might be recent (unfortunate if so).

I'm on Evilnat 4.92. For webMAN Mod I'm using whatever the latest version is (I just updated it yesterday while troubleshooting this), although it behaved the same when I was on an older version previously. Would be odd for something like this to have changed recently, might be worth looking through changelogs though. You don't actually have to restart the console, there's a "create syscalls" button somewhere in the CFW tools menu which also works.

On the subject of the release page, "User stats are not being saved correctly" seems to extend beyond just breaking co-op achievements - Portal 2 uses Steam stats to store a lot of things, and the result is that when quitting the game with condenstation signed in, upon the next startup all settings will be reset and game instructor hints will reappear - crucially, this seems to indicate that co-op and singleplayer level unlock progress is being reset as well, although the latter won't be visible if you already have the Lunacy achievement because of a special case in the code. Probably should extend the known issues to also specify that.
