Live, runnable Livebook notebooks for
bloccs — a BEAM-native flow-based
programming library. Each notebook installs bloccs from Hex with
Mix.install, writes a TOML manifest, and runs a real network in the BEAM. No
clone, no setup.
| # | Notebook | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | 01_first_network.livemd |
The full parse → validate → compile → run loop on one pure node. Vocabulary: node, port, schema, pure core, effect shell, network. |
| 02 | 02_events_webhook.livemd |
A webhook/event processor: declared HTTP + DB effects, a pure validation gate, retry + timeout, idempotency, branching, fan-out, and structural coverage. |
| 03 | 03_routing_primitives.livemd |
Routing primitives — filter (drop), split (fan-out), and merge (fan-in). |
| 04 | 04_aggregation_primitives.livemd |
Stateful/temporal primitives — batch (windowing), join (key correlation + deadletter), and rate/delay (throttling). |
| 05 | 05_subgraph_composition.livemd |
Compose a network as a subgraph — use a whole network as a node; the parser flattens it to namespaced leaf nodes, and lineage/coverage span the seam. |

Locally — with Livebook installed:
livebook server notebooks/01_first_network.livemdEach notebook pins {:bloccs, "~> 0.9"} and runs against the published Hex
package. Requires Elixir/OTP (the version Livebook ships with is fine).
These notebooks are documentation, not the library. The library lives at
Bloccs/bloccs (Apache-2.0). Notebooks here
track the published Hex release, so they stay runnable for anyone — they are
not pinned to unreleased work.
