📖 The canonical AeroSandbox guide is now The AeroSandbox Book — a complete, executable documentation book covering everything from optimization basics to full multidisciplinary aircraft design studies. It supersedes and extends the notebooks in this folder, with more examples, figures, and three complete end-to-end design studies. Start there.
(Repository source for the book lives in docs/book/.)
The Jupyter notebooks in this folder remain as interactive, runnable companions — every notebook executes against the current AeroSandbox version in CI, so they are always in working order. They are organized in ascending order of topic:
-
Read through the folders and files in ascending order. Upon opening any folder, be sure to read the
README.mdin the folder, if it exists. -
You can either:
-
View them on GitHub non-interactively (easiest)
-
Run them on your computer interactively (recommended). If you're new to Jupyter notebooks, follow this tutorial here.
-
-
Each tutorial file is designed to take ~5 minutes to read through and will introduce you to several new features.
Where a topic here is a stub or placeholder, the corresponding chapter of the Book is the complete treatment.
Happy reading!
