Synthesizer issue in nvda 2026 and later

Brief summary

this is not my issue because i'm not using that Synthesizer, but it's an issue from my friend.
My friend says, he was using a spesific voice that is installed on his computer, and the voices for that was listed in Microsoft Speech API version 5 Synthesizer.
But when he updated to nvda 2026.1.1 that parted Microsoft Speech API version 5 to 32 bit and 64 bit, his needed voices was listed in Microsoft Speech API version 5 (32 bit), but when he arrows in voice combo box and reaches to his needed voices, windows plays a ding sound, it doesn't speak anything. He says last 2025 version was working fine, this problem started happening to him from version 2026
I asked him to put his nvda logging level to debug and reproduce this and send me a log, And i'll now upload it here

Steps to reproduce

1. In nvda 2026.1, go to use Microsoft Speech API version 5 (32 bit)
2. In the voices list, some voices are not loaded and used correctly, onnistly, I don't know if I know anything to example, but it's called parsava, I don't know if you know about it or not.

Actual behavior

It should load and use the voices like 2025

Expected behavior

It doesn't load those voices.

Please ask your friend to try with this try build (from PR #20430).
If that doesn't work, please ask them to reproduce the issue and then go to their %TEMP% directory, and locate the latest nvda_synthDriverHost.XXX.log file and attach it here. This will contain debug output from the 32 bit synthesizer shim.

I gave him this version, he tested, but he says those voices were completely removed now and no longer listed in Microsoft Speech API version 5 (32 bit) also not in 64 bit too.
But this is not what he expects. He wants his voices to be listed and work as it did in 2025.x versions because that's what he always uses as his voices.
But with this build, he says they are even not listed even to be produce error or don't work. In 2026.1.1 they are listed but didn't work.

I have a theory, but it's just a theory: NVDA 2026.1 cannot load these third-party sapi synthesizers because they don't have voice tokens in the registry, their voices operate from their folders in program data. RHVoice, for example, always asks the user to turn-off NVDA before instaling a sapi 5 voice because they need to use UIA automation or something like that.

I don't know. But whatever that is, with nvda 2026.1, that's why they added both 32 bit and 64 bit, to continue the support for old discontinued but still used voices, so The target should work as well. This person told me he is not updating his nvda because of this problem, so I reported it in hope as this gets resolved as a critical of new version. I think if only the system was upgraded to 2026 without any more extra changes, this bug wouldn't happen. I was not the one who rewrote this handling, but if I was, I would compare all changes to 2025 to be able to track the bug down.
