This is almost certainly some combination of insufficient grid resolution to resolve the flow from the vent and/or the impact of the bulk flow field on the flow leaving the vent. Try this as an experiment. Make a simple input file of just your obst+louvered vent in the center of a volume with OPEN boundaries on all sides at a resolution that gives you mulitple grid cells (say 4 to 6) across the smallest dimension of your vent. |

I am experiencing a recurring issue with the vent louvre angle output.
I am attempting to configure the top fan to discharge at 45° in the negative X–Y direction within the horizontal plane, with an additional 15° downward inclination. Accordingly, I have specified the direction vector as (-0.683, -0.683, -0.2588).
However, the resulting airflow is directed almost entirely in the negative Y direction, which does not correspond to the specified vector.
I have encountered this issue on several occasions, leading me to suspect that the direction vector is not always being interpreted correctly.
