Everything required for Plover development can automatically be installed by executing: bootstrap.bat.
It is best to develop using 32 bit tools for Plover.
Most dependencies can be retrieved with pip:
python setup.py write_requirementspip install -r requirements.txt -c requirements_constraints.txt
To run from source, from the root of the Git repository, use launch.bat.
To build the Windows distribution, run python windows\helper.py dist -t -z; the results will be in dist.
Add -i to the command line to also build an installer.
Note: the -t option reduces the size of the resulting distribution by pruning some files according to the list in windows\dist_blacklist.txt. The majority of those removed files are extra Qt features (normally) not used by Plover. So if the distribution does not work, it's a good idea to regenerate it without -t first, and see if this fixes the problem.
